Hi Bob,
Welcome to the forum! Thanks for your interest in the matepe. It takes a good little chunk of time for me to get a youtube video posted, and that's time I don't have in this moment-though I intend to put at least two more songs up sometime in the future. For now, I'd suggest checking out the three songs that are there on youtube and the corresponding transcriptions in this forum. The Andrew Tracey article that was posted also has several matepe songs that i don't know yet transcribed as well.

As far as other teachers, I believe that at this point this is the best resource to learn the matepe-I don't know of any other matepe teachers anywhere else-other than Chaka Chawasarira in Zimbabwe, and any other living masters that I hope to meet some day.

Good luck, have fun, and keep us posted on your progress!
With love and gratitude,

I am planning to post the two songs Joel already posted, as played on the tuning the Chaka has been sending recently (or at least the tuning that four of the instruments we received from Chaka in our group in two lots over the past year, were tuned). Hopefully that will help people who also have a similar tuning get their first foothold on the songs.

Also Bob, I'm finding lots of fun stuff just by listening to Chaka's recordings of these songs-- it's very work-intensive to pull these out by ear, but that's definitely another resource if you're itching for more.
